When I was a little girl in elementary school people would always ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer? A fashion designer. 10 times out of 10 that was my answer. I’ve been obsessed with clothes and fashion for as long as I can remember, I got it from my mom who was the same exact way. My bedroom growing up had over 30 different framed major fashion brand ads that I cut out of Vogue magazines, so yeah when I told you I grew up being obsessed with fashion- I really meant OBSESSED! Even though I didn’t follow through on my fashion designer dreams- here I am 20 something years later and I’m still just as in love and fascinated with everything fashion as I was back then. I have a full walk-in closet and a completely full 14 drawer dresser, in true shopaholic style. I love styling my family and friends and piecing together outfits, its something I really enjoy and take pride in doing. This whole fashion & styling topic is something I could talk about for hours but I told myself I would try to keep this short and sweet. My goal for this post is to try to give you guys some background and a sense of my own personal style.
My personal style has definitely changed and evolved throughout the years, even more so now that I am a mom. I really like simple pieces that I can pair together to make a statement. I don’t have tons of time anymore like I used to to put together extravagant outfits, so now I try to plan what I’m wearing ahead of time. I love using apps such as LIKEtoKNOW.it and Pinterest to help me find new outfit inspiration and see what’s currently trending. I don’t really have one particular favorite store/brand because I love so many- but I’ll leave you guys with some of my current top go-to’s before I wrap this up.
